Welcome to ACT Houston’s website where you can easily access all three locations: Houston, Dallas, and Austin.

ACT Houston’s well known Alternative Certification Program, meets all requirements set forth by "NCLB – No Child Left Behind," as well as the new State Board for Educator Certification requirements.  We provide teacher certification for ALL grade levels and ALL content areas.

ACT Houston offers a very accelerated route to teacher certification with a program that is coordinated by experienced classroom teachers and administrators. Classes in all locations are taught by master teachers.  Our small class sizes provide the best instructional environment for new teachers.

Helping you quickly reach your goal of being in the classroom, ACT Houston provides Field Supervisors who create an ongoing network of support for first year teachers that is not provided with other programs.  Our certification program was developed for teachers by teachers to offer you the highest quality preparation for quickly entering the classroom as a full-salaried teacher.
